Community Fundraising Officer

Job description

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity to recruit for a Community Fundraising Officer in order to support the delivery of the charity’s community fundraising programme, as part of the wider mass participation and events team. This includes stewardship, retention, recruitment, new product development, and marketing.

 

As a Community Fundraising Officer you will:

  • Be one of the primary contacts for the charity’s  community fundraising supporters, and will focus on building strong relationships with supporters, delivering engaging stewardship, developing supporter retention and recruitment,

  • Manage administrative processes, as well as supporting the Community Fundraising Manager with the delivery of the community fundraising strategy.

  • Develop new and existing fundraising products

  • Support the wider mass participation & events team to achieve targets.

In order to be successful, you must have experienced :

  • Experience of developing supporter or customer care relationships

  • Excellent relationship skills - to work well with colleagues, supporters and suppliers

  • Excellent copywriting skills- to produce copy for stewardship and marketing communications

  • First-class supporter management and motivating skills, delivering outstanding supporter experience for fundraisers

  • Ability to influence and motivate

  • Ability to organise a busy workload and prioritise effectively, working to tight deadlines

  • Ability to work independently, co-operatively and as an effective team member

  • Ability to use IT systems and databases

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in an Events or Community Fundraising team

  • Experience of developing and delivering new products or initiatives – fundraising-related desirable

Salary: £28,000-£33,375 per annum
