Networks and Engagement Officer

Job description

Harris Hill is looking for an events candidates to fulfil the role of Networks and Engagements Officer, for 2-3 months, 4 days per week, on a hybrid basis at a policy based charity in London.

Job purpose:

  • To coordinate and deliver engagement opportunities that enables the voluntary sector to connect, collaborate, learn and share at online, or in-person, events.

  • To be the main point of contact for their partnership work with local infrastructure organisations with whom they collaborate on Member Assemblies, ensuring timely and professional communications.

  • To share insight gained at events with partners and across the organisation.

  • To provide expert administration and coordination support to ensure the smooth running of event and networking opportunities.  

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of volunteering and the voluntary sector

  • Creating a customer journey

 

Skills

  • Planning and organisational skills to manage competing priorities and coordinate events.

  • Applying expert attention to detail whilst managing a busy workload.

  • Confidence to utilise a range of online platforms and systems e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, Zoom etc. or the ability to learn these quickly.

  • Facilitation skills, online and in person.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with colleagues and partners at all levels.

  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to summarise feedback into written reports.

Experience

  • Experience of planning/supporting successful events and engagement opportunities.

  • Providing excellent customer service.

  • Active commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
