Young Women's Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA)

Full-time | North London | £27,000 - £28,840 | Temporary until end September 2025
Harris Hill is delighted to be working with a fantastic organisation in North London to recruit a Young Women’s IDVA to join their passionate and dedicated team.
This role focuses on supporting young women aged 11-25 who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual violence, or exploitation. You will provide trauma-informed, age-appropriate, and empowering support, helping young women to navigate services, understand their rights, and rebuild their lives.
We are ideally looking for candidates with the following:
A recognised IDVA qualification
Experience working with young women affected by domestic abuse or other forms of gender-based violence
A good understanding of the barriers young women face when accessing support
Experience working in a youth work, VAWG, or women’s organisation setting
A commitment to intersectional, feminist, and anti-oppressive practice
You’ll be joining a supportive team with a strong reputation for their work with young survivors, and an organisation committed to advocacy, prevention, and systems change.
Key details:
Hours: 35 per week
Salary: £27,000 – £28,840 (depending on experience)
Location: North London – hybrid working available
Contract: Fixed-term until 30 September 2025
