Working for the Woodland Trust

Woodland Trust: who we're looking for

To make a real difference in this role you'll need to love working with people and have a real passion for the natural environment, heritage, conservation and woods and trees.

Naturally you'll need to have real enthusiasm for the Woodland Trust and the wonderful work we do.

You'll also need to be:

• Engaging and positive, able to inspire and secure support through quality conversations with members of the public
• Resilient, flexible and able to work to targets
• Able to attend recruitment events in other parts of the country for training and conferences, setting up recruitment stands at both outdoor and indoor venues
• A driver with your own vehicle (or access to one) to travel to agreed work sites with all the necessary equipment
• Able to work three out of four weekends per month, with occasional overnight stays

If you have the confidence to talk to members of the public and ask for their support, along with a genuine love of the natural environment, we’ll provide you with the training and development to do the rest.

Woodland Trust: what you can expect

There’s no other organisation like the Woodland Trust.

Whatever you do here you will be supporting our work to protect and enhance woods and trees. In return, we recognise and value our people.

You'll have our full support, training and opportunities for professional development, along with a benefits package that includes life assurance, contributory pension scheme (6% employer contribution), good holiday entitlement, and of course plenty of opportunities to get out and about in the woods.
