Are you a skilled and proactive leader ready to make an impact in the charity sector? A highly regarded organisation is seeking a Business Services Manager to oversee and enhance its operational excellence across IT, HR, Payroll, Facilities, and Risk Management.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Finance & Business Services, you will lead a dynamic team and manage day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth delivery of key services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operational Management: Streamline services and implement policies to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- HR & Payroll Oversight: Support recruitment, manage staff development, and ensure adherence to HR best practices.
- Facilities Management: Oversee office premises, IT resources, and supplier contracts.
- Compliance & Risk: Act as the Data Protection Officer and manage health and safety protocols.
- Strategic Development: Identify growth opportunities and contribute to organisational strategy.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrable experience in leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong IT, systems implementation, and process review skills.
- Knowledge of HR best practices and compliance requirements.
- Experience in charity or social housing sectors (essential).
- Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership abilities.
Qualifications
- Qualified by experience or a relevant degree.
- CMI or ILM qualification (desirable).
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
