Fundraising and Development Manager
Job description
A great opportunity has arisen for a temporary Fundraising and Development Manager for a youth related charity based in Surrey in order to develop relationships across the local communities charity operates in: deliver an agreed portfolio of fundraising and awareness building events throughout the year, increase and manage Regular Giving and lead development for a Legacy Giving strategy. As part of the fundraising team, you will play a vital role in leading and delivering strategies which secure voluntary income for the charity in line with budget targets.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Plan and manage time cost effectively, focusing efforts on activities which maximises the potential for new and existing income
Evaluate existing events and develop new opportunities in line with the needs of supporters and The Charity
Develop opportunities for corporate advertising and sponsorship of events
Identify potential major donors from event participants and move into the major donor strategy
Support organisation of event logistics and assist at events which would necessitate flexible working hours on occasion
Monitor and report on competitor activity in the area
Review opportunities and deliver strategic opportunities to increase Regular Giving as a voluntary income stream
Lead the development of a Legacy Giving strategy and required campaign to implement this voluntary income stream for the charity
Develop and manage effective working relationships with donors and corporate volunteers championing both the cause and values of the charity to internal and external audiences
Take part in regular supervision and team meetings
Manage and support volunteer participation as appropriate to deliver aims
Liaise and coordinate with Head of Fundraising and Communications and other senior managers to ensure maximised social media coverage of charity s activities, projects and programmes
Liaise with key personnel to gain insights and information relevant to social media posts
Develop and maintain relationships within the organisation across key stakeholders
Identify and build external relationships with a view to supporting the delivery of social media aims
