Consultant
Membership Development Officer
Job description
The Woodland Trust is the UK's leading woodland conservation charity. They want to see a UK rich in native woods and trees, for people and wildlife. The Trust aims to engage and inspire people about woods and trees to help meet their vision of creating, restoring and protecting woodland.
Harris Hill are delighted to be working with Woodland Trust to recruit a number of Membership Development Officers across the UK. As a Membership Development Officer you'll be the face of the Woodland Trust, talking to people from all walks of life about why woods and trees are special and how we can ensure their protection. You'll have the opportunity to travel across the UK, attending events and seeing places you may never have had the opportunity to visit where you will inspire individuals to care about what Woodland Trust do and support their cause by becoming members, without feeling pressured. There's nothing standard about the work of the Membership Development Officers either, each day is different. You could be working on your own or as part of a team, outside or inside. The working week is varied and includes weekends and bank holidays but it's worthwhile.
THE CANDIDATE
This role will allow you to combine your enthusiasm for the environment with your love of working with people, so you'll need to care about the Woodland Trust and the wonderful work they do. If you have the confidence to talk to members of the public and ask for their support, along with a genuine love of the natural environment, Woodland Trust will provide you with the training and development to do the rest.
You will need access to your own vehicle in order to transport equipment to venues and events.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
There's no other organisation like the Woodland Trust. Whatever you do, you will be supporting their work to protect and enhance woods and trees. In return, Woodland Trust recognise and value their people. You'll have their full support, training and opportunities for professional development, along with a contributory pension, life assurance and good holiday entitlement.
We're recruiting Membership Development Officers in the following locations:
Buckinghamshire
Brighton
Cambridgeshire
Liverpool
Aberdeen
Lincolnshire
