Job description

A national military and social welfare charity are in search of a Senior Special Events Manager to join their London office, and Harris Hill are delighted to be assisting them with their search. This role is perfect for an experienced Fundraising Events Manager who is looking for an exciting new portfolio to get stuck into.

As Senior Special Events Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of hugely varied and exciting fundraising events beyond the usual charity repertoire, with unprecedented access to some wonderful venues. You will line manage a Senior Events Executive, helping them to deliver one of the charity’s flagship events, as well as overseeing regional officers and guiding them to maximise their fundraising efforts.

This is an organisation where events are prioritised, and the team is highly friendly and supportive, so you’ll feel right at home from the get-go. This organisation works tirelessly to provide support for individuals and families connected to the British Armed Forces, covering a range of services from mental health to finance, education to family support. To be successful in the role, you must:

  • Have demonstrable experience and knowledge of fundraising events, with a track record of successful income generation.

  • Possess exceptional relationship building skills, with the ability to communicate easily and diplomatically with a wide range of individuals and groups.

  • Be meticulously organised with a keen eye for detail and precision.

  • Be passionate about the cause!

Salary: £42,000 p.a. + benefits

Contract Type: full time, permanent.

Location: London, hybrid – 2 days per week in office and attendance at events.
