Harris Hill is recruiting a Finance Manager for this well-established charity based in Surrey. (Hybrid)

  • Salary £50,000pa - £55,000pa

  • Location: Surrey

  • Position: Full Time, 5 days a week position.

  • Hybrid Working: 3 to 4 days a week is required at their offices in Surrey.

Experience, skills and knowledge

  • Qualified Accountant ideally, but Part Qualified Accountants with extensive not for profit sector experience is fine.

  • Excellent IT skills, specifically excel

  • Practical experience in managing Payroll

  • Sound working knowledge of Charities SORP & VAT

Duties and responsibilities

  • You will assist the Finance Director in all aspects of finance whilst providing support to your direct reports

  • Manage the relationship with HMRC for VAT & PAYE

  • Manage the annual Audit

  • Manage the Asset register

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts.

  • Ensure the balance sheet is reconciled monthly

  • Prepare annual returns for Charities Commission

  • Maintain records for Companies House

  • Issue Annual Declarations

  • Deal with all aspects of Insurance
